Overview
Homeschooling in Maryland is governed by Maryland Code Education section 7-301. Maryland offers three compliance pathways giving families meaningful flexibility in how they demonstrate compliance. The portfolio review pathway is most popular — families maintain a portfolio of work throughout the year and submit it annually to the local superintendent.
